Run a tNODE

Turf's Validator Network forms the backbone of its decentralized gaming ecosystem, ensuring security, scalability, and reliability across its dynamic gaming economies. By powering the data orchestration layer, validators play a critical role in maintaining trust and efficiency, extending their responsibilities beyond transaction validation to facilitate seamless gameplay interactions.

Designed with a strong focus on security, Turf's Validator Network guarantees the integrity of transactions and gameplay data, establishing a robust foundation for the platform's innovative gaming infrastructure.

Staking and Slashing Mechanism

Turf employs a robust staking and slashing mechanism to ensure network integrity and incentivize validator performance. Key aspects include:

  • Node License Token (NLT) Requirement: Validators must stake Node License Tokens (NLT) to join the network and operate their nodes. Multiple NLTs can be staked to increase the likelihood of being selected in the consensus process.

  • Specialized Node Staking: For specialized nodes, an additional stake of a specified number of TURF tokens ('Y') is required, offering enhanced capabilities within the network.

  • Incentives and Accountability: Staked NLTs act as collateral, promoting honest and efficient validator behaviour. Malicious activities result in penalties, including partial or total loss of the stake, ensuring accountability and maintaining system security.

  • Performance-Based Rewards: Validators earn rewards based on their contributions, derived from network fees and activities within the gaming ecosystem.

This mechanism safeguards Turf's decentralized architecture while encouraging active and reliable participation from validators.
